Let me begin by telling you an ancient love story from South America… In the distant past, the land around the Iguazú Falls belonged to the Guarani Indians. Every year, the Guarani tribe would sacrifice a beautiful virgin to M’Boi, the Serpent God, who lived in the Iguazu River. These women were bred to be sacrificed, and [...]

A Little Taste of Nature
I've had a bad day for chronic fatigue, so I decided to go on a walk with my camera to capture the beautiful autumn colours to try and see if the outside would help energise me as it sometimes does. It didn't, I had to get the bus back and I've been napping since, but [...]
Lupus Beauty
It often feels like lupus and beauty do not go hand in hand. Before I was diagnosed I was rather okay with my physical appearance. Never 100% happy, always finding faults, but I felt like I could talk to guys with confidence and enjoy taking a selfie from time to time (priorities...) All that changed when [...]
Pueblos de Burgos
Fun trivia fact: apparently the surrounding area of Burgos has one of the highest amounts of villages in Spain. So when I was invited to go along with some of the fellow teachers from the school I work at to walk around some local villages and then eat a local bean dish, of course I said [...]
Autumnal Burgos
Following up from landmarks of Burgos, what captured me on the day I was taking photos was the autumnal vibe the city was giving. With so many trees shedding their leaves it was hard not to feel autumny, and a very different experience to the U.K's perception of autumn with pumpkin spiced lattes (which I [...]
A Misty Day in Yorkshire
Before my departure to Spain, my mum and her partner (just back from a holiday in Spain themselves) decided to take me on a day out to experience just a taste of what the beautiful Yorkshire has to offer. First stop was to have tea and coffee in a location that clearly hosts a lot [...]

A Walk Along a Canal
When I snapped a previous polaroid of the 5 Rise Locks in Bingley, West Yorkshire, it was after walking 6 miles to Saltaire and back with my mum and grandparents. I had taken photos with my DSLR all along the way, so quickly dug out my polaroid so I wouldn't have carried it around all day [...]
Bees and Lavender
I received a new lens for my DSLR for my birthday (55mm-200mm) which calls for more fun and experimenting. There is a lavender bush just outside by dad's house which the bees seem to love. Great for snapping and capturing the beauty of bees in detail without risking getting stung!
The Beauty of Genesis (and why Sebastião Salgado is now one of my fave photographers)
Olá! I am currently writing this post from Brazil after submitting my final assignments of my degree. If the giant, eye-like tower in the photo above is unfamiliar to you- it is a famous landmark of Curitiba that belongs to MON (Museu Oscar Niemeyer). Niemeyer was a famous Brazilian architect who is said to have designed [...]
