Another cold December weekend, another Christmas market!
This time I went to the Gendarmenmarkt, another big and well-known Christmas market of Berlin.
I ate roasted chestnuts, and cheesy fatty amazing food, and of course drank mulled wine. I decided to try white mulled wine, but honestly red mulled wine reigns supreme.
I also bought some traditional “baumkuchen” to bring to my family for Christmas. I’ve never tried it, but I’m sure it’s delicious!
I really liked this market, the food and drink wasn’t expensive, and there were many beautiful hand made goods to look at. Sure, these were too pricey for my student budget, but they will make beautiful gifts.
There was also a stage with many musicians and performers making the crowd laugh and smile. Located very central in Berlin, it’s a difficult market to avoid!
Beautiful! I hope to visit the European Christmas markets someday!
They’re amazing!
